Who we are
Regional Development Australia Norfolk Island is a voice and an advocate for Norfolk Island. We act as a link between all levels of government, industry and our community, analysing local priorities, communicating the issues clearly and bringing key players together to produce real outcomes for the region.
Our primary focus is on economic development including activities such as encouraging more jobs, public or private investment, industry growth and capacity development. RDA is a collaborative organisation; we always work in partnership with others to achieve these goals.
Norfolk Island is a place of innovation, opportunity, inclusion and economic prosperity.
Regional Development Australia (RDA) Norfolk Island is an economic development program which runs under the auspices of Regional Development Australia Mid North Coast (RDAMNC). RDAMNC is an independent not for profit organisation. Our funding is derived from the Commonwealth Government and from time to time other entities for the delivery of special projects.
The staff of RDA Norfolk Island have a variety of specialist skills to implement our core services and manage key projects.
The staff are led by our Director of Regional Development and are governed by a committee.
Our committee is comprised of members from a variety of industries and interests.
We are part of a national network of 52 RDA Committees that work to support the development of regional Australia. RDA Norfolk Island is administered by the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications and is an Australian Government initiative.
