Nicola is an MBA qualified General Manager specialising in transformative business growth in the aesthetics, health, spa and wellness industry. Recognised as the professional aesthetics industry expert, Nicola has had fifteen years senior management experience and leadership team roles in market leading companies. Her career progression from sales/marketing and training functions through to general management, complete end-to-end cross functional business skill set, and masters level education gives Nicola a unique and unparalleled combination of industry expertise and commercial acumen. Remits include sales, marketing and training team management functions of well-known global brands Clarins and Thalgo and local brands Skinstitut, Laser Clinics Australia and SILK Laser Clinics. Nicola creates committed work culture with dedicated teams. Experience leading, coaching and mentoring teams of 20+ including multiple direct reports is a significant attribute.
In her role at Skinstitut Nicola doubled revenue and profit for private equity owners in three years, improving total stakeholder value, and played an instrumental role in the merge and acquisition with Laser Clinics Australia (LCA) to KKR in a $650million dollar deal. Post merge Nicola retained her GM role at Skinstitut, held a leadership team position and steer co. seat at LCA. In this position Nicola acted as the companies trusted industry expert advising the new leadership team on product, skin treatment, protocols and NPD. Nicola has P&L and analytical financial expertise, is an accomplished speaker, with formal qualification in communication and coaching. Her strong negotiating skills and stakeholder management is underpinned by an ability to influence others, manage conflict and relationships.
Nicola was recruited to SILK Laser Clinics, where she is employed today in the role of General Manager of aesthetic skincare and merchandise. SILK Laser Clinics is the second largest network of its kind in Australia. Nicola is responsible for the performance of retail sales at the 52 national outlets and the end to end production through to retail and wholesale distribution of the companies two skincare brands.
Nicola has successfully led cross functional teams through significant organisational change including merger and acquisition by private equity on multiple occasions, maximising operations, process improvement and employee engagement throughout. During her leadership at BLC Cosmetics, Nicola lead the French brand Thalgo to top 2 revenue position in the global marketplace and was responsible for the fastest market growth of the Kerstin Florian brand globally. She led the acquisition of multiple global brands for local distribution during her incumbency, responsible for brand sourcing, creating and driving sales and training deliverables required to develop business and opportunity for local success. Nicola has strong relationships with consultants, buyers and business directors in the B2B wholesale distribution and B2C retail and online environments.
